Traffic Fatality Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation provide a nationwide census of fatal injuries suffered in motor vehicle traffic crashes. occuring during the calendar year. NHTSA offers a query system as well as all files from their FTP site, plus manuals and documentation. FARS documentation is also available on this site. This site is a mirror of NHTSA's FARS FTP site which also includes DBF and SQL/ASCII versions of the data. The data files below are processed to be easier for SAS and Stata use.
